Prof. Oleksandr Korneiko graduated from Kyiv Higher Military Engineering School of Communication by specialty military engineer of special telecommunication systems in 1982, and attended PhD studies at Military Academy of Communications (Saint-Petersburg, Russia) in 1987-1990.
PhD of Engineering since 2000, specialty "Military cybernetics, control system and communication". Professor since 2014, specialty "Cyber Security and use of IT&S".
He had being on military service in 1977-2015, holding engineering, scientifically-pedagogical and command-administrative positions in the Armed Forces, Security Service of Ukraine, State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine (SSSCIP). Major General (ret.), SSSCIP. He took an active part in the development of Ukrainian national system for specialist training and establishment of specialized military schools in the fields of special communication, information protection and cyber security. In 2012-2015 he was among leaders of the SSSCIP as a deputy head and prime deputy head of SSSCIP, and he was a chairman of working groups on preparation of Ukrainian legislative acts on cyber security and information protection.
In 2015-2016 since he worked on professor position at National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute". Since 2016 he has been working as a Scientific secretary at the George Pukhov Institute for Energy Modelling, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
He is an author of more than 150 scientific publications.
He is a co-founder and a president of Scientific NGO "Ukrainian Academy of Cyber Security".
